Acting Workshops or Classes in NYC?
Hi guys. I want to start a career in acting I’m 23 and have no experience do I look for auditions without any type training or prepare myself and network with people somehow?

Well respected acting schools?
I am looking for well respected and very good acting schools/classes for TV/film/commercial acting. I live in Califon, NJ and i would like to stay in that state BUT i am open to going to NYC/PA if the schools will deffinitely help me. i understand that you need to be born with the talent if you want to get far and i definitely have it but i can’t show it because i have a completely blank resume except for one school play that i have done so obviously i need some experience which i WILL be working on. my mom is looking for some community theater things but i wasn’t “meant” for theater acting i was meant for cold readings and on-camera acting which i can’t do WITHOUT an agent and i can’t GET an agent with non experience. I REALLY need your help because i’m new to the business and i don’t want to waste my time going to a poor acting school because i have wasted enough time already. i am 13 years old so i am already going head-first into the acting business later than i should for me to succeed. i do have experience being on camera and i don’t have stage fright (unfortunately i auditioned for one of those radio things in 3rd grade so THAT didn’t get me far but i WAS one of the few that were called back. however it was a scam i think so my mom turned them down)
Anyway if you could give me any tips/advice and list the acting schools/classes below that would be AMAZING and i promise i will give the 10 points for B.A. ASAP. thanks so much and feel free to IM me if you want more details or anything 🙂
If you are looking for strong acting schools to take weekly intensives, you are going to want to take classes in NYC. The best and most teen friendly studios are probably HB Studios in the village and Stella Adler Studio of Acting. A good idea as you get older would be to apply to be a pre college student at some of the better acting colleges in the country such as NYU, Juilliard, and Carnegie Mellon. Getting an agent is not a necessity at your age. It’s more important to work on your craft and make connections. Doing community theatre on a local level will also build your credibility and make you grow as an actress. It may not be the path you go in the business, but it will make you a stronger performer.
Free acting classes in NYC or UWS?
Hi there I love in NYC (obviously) and I really want to find some free (if not cheap) acting classes. Any suggestions? Serious answers only.
Sorry, but you get what you pay for.
Running an acting school costs money – renting rooms, electricity, water, insurance, advertising and, of course, good teachers.
None of that comes cheap.
If you want classes that are any good at all, you have to pay – and quite a lot.
Where to take child acting classes?
i would prefere to take them in NYC and NJ and also i would like them to be legit. Also is kathy donahue legit http://www.kathysstars.com/ May you also give me some legit acting agencies Thanxx a whole bunch:)
Try AMTC, they are a christian acting classes and get you to see big time agencies. Also try John Robert Powers, they are expensive yes but they are definitely worth it. Also try to get some experience in with local theater, they love that. And, remember to keep yourself looking healthy and fit. Be natural, they like kids to look like kids and not pagentry-like, ha.
