is the movie “2012” appropriate for family viewing?
I’m planning to take my parents out to watch the movie 2012. Mainly because I have heard that its got good special effects. I want to know if there any scenes that will make it awkward for us. Like sex scenes or foul language. Thanks.
Nah, no sex, but personally if it was he end of the world i would be trying to get as much sex as i probably could haha.
Is it weird that all the 2012 stuff freaks me out?
It creeps me out, I’ve done my own research and am pretty sure this is not going to be a year different from any other(except its the year I graduate). I can’t even watch the previews for the new movie 2012 (I turn the TV every time they come on). Am I weird or just paranoid?
I feel the same way about the movie trailer. I just can’t watch it. I swear if it comes on while I am in the theater I will start to shout at the screen (and get thrown out again).
You are clever enough to figure out that the 2012 hype is all just crap. Good for you!
Take a look at 2012hoax.org if you still have any doubts. Don’t worry, no one will try to sell you anything.
What is up with people trying to sell you TVs on a website that is telling you the world will end? I bet they even offer delayed financing with no payments until 2013!
Are people asking about 2012 just promoting the movie?
Or are we that crazy? Maybe the real Apocalypse is coming because the movie 2012 is going to turn everybody into raving paranoid zombies…
Hey! I like zombies. Nothing wrong with being a zombie.
Unfortunately, it isn’t a mere movie-promotion conspiracy. There really are tons and tons of people out there who really believe all that 2012 crap.
I blame our educational system. The majority of people are pathetically illiterate in science and reason, and just don’t have the mental tools necessary to distinguish science from pseudoscience, or fact from fantasy.
If the world doesn’t end in 2012 can I get a refund plus reparations for the movie and other things?
I saw the movie 2012 and it was OK. Nothing special. There was a lot of money made from this movie, and other 2012 marketing lies.
When 2012 rolls around, and the world doesn’t end, can I get a refund, and reparations?
You can but try.
These predictions are scare tactics, conspiracy theories, and chances to make money from books and movies.
Ever since the Y2K and 6/6/6 (June 6, 2006) End of the World scenarios did not pan out, the scare mongers, conspiracy theorists, book sellers, and television executives have been touting the 2012 End of the World scenario. When 2012 does not happen either, I am sure they will think of something else.

“But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come.” (Mark 13:32-33)
Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.
The early Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.
The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus’ advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.
Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

With love in Christ.
Is it true America is in huge debt because they spent lots of money making huge arcs for 2012?
Like in the movie 2012?
